Housing Starts to Climb for Third Straight Month in March, CBIA Announces
April 26, 2010 - Total housing starts in California continued to climb for the third straight month in March signaling that the worst of the housing downturn may finally be over, the California Building Industry Association announced today.
Existing Home Sales Rise 6.8% in March
April 22, 2010 - Sales of existing homes, coops and condos rose 6.8% in March from February to an adjusted annual rate of 5.35 million, 16.1% ahead of the pace in March 2009, the National Association of Realtors reported Thursday. The increase, which was evident across all regions, was in line with what Wall Street was expecting.
Land Prices Jump as Home Builders Move In

While volume is tough to track, analysts report that land deals have been rising rapidly in recent months, causing land prices in some of the nation's weakest housing markets to rise for the first time since 2006.
